Trooko

Trooko is a Honduran-born, LA based GRAMMY and multiple Latin GRAMMY Award-winning producer, mixer and mastering engineer. 

Trooko cut his teeth in the LA music scene working with acclaimed music producer Switch, during which time his credits included Beyonce (Girls, Run The World), MIA, Santigold, Major Lazer, Roots Manuva, and many more. He stepped out on his own in 2017, producing Residente's debut album, which went on to win the 2017 GRAMMY for Best Alternative Latin Album. Since then, Trooko’s collaborators have included Ricky Martin, Bad Bunny, Bizarrap, Ile, Alt J, Thalia, CNCO, Alvaro Diaz, Cami, Ana Tijoux and Adriel Favela as well as continuing his role as Residente’s go to producer. He is also a close collaborator of Bomba Estereo, with his most recent work on their album “Deja” receiving a GRAMMY nomination for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album as well as Latin GRAMMY Nominations for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Song.

Trooko’s work extends beyond the traditional music space, working closely with Lin-Manuel Miranda on projects including the “Hamilton Mixtape”, the GRAMMY-nominated film soundtrack for “In The Heights”, as well as the recently released Sony Pictures animated film, “VIVO”.
